AISHA M. SOTO,originally from Manhattan, New York has been directing and teaching theatre for over 4 years. She graduated with a BFA in theatre from Syracuse University and has recently obtained her MS in Interdisciplinary Arts with a theatre focus.
Aisha has directed several successful productions such as; “A Streetcar Named Desire”, the Broadway hit revival “Grease”, “The Secret Garden” and “The Wizard of Oz”.
She has written, produced and directed an original production titled "Through the Eyes of the Homeless", a play about the trials and tribulations of homeless women in Orlando, Fl. Their true life stories were transformed into a series of monologues and became a one act production. She has taught at several schools: such as the Orlando Repertory Theatre in partnership with UCF, USF’s Prodigy Youth Program, University of Phoenix and Orange County Public Schools. Aisha recently started up her own production company called Zen Theatre Group, a community theatre group producing only original plays written by Central Florida community play wrights. ANTONIO J. GUERNICA, is a 20 year broadcast management and marketing veteran. As General Manager of Univision WVEN-TV 26 and Telefutura WOTF-TV 43, he directs the daily operation and development of both stations in Orlando. In 2001, Guernica led Univision’s transition from LPTV to full power service.
In 2002, he guided Telefutura’s entry into the market. In 1999 as VP and GM of Mega Communications, Guernica directed the programming and administrative start-up of its cluster of five Spanish radio stations in Washington, DC. He also directed the successful transition of WGBO-TV 66 from an English language independent in 1994 to Chicago’s dominant Spanish television station as an owned and operated affiliate of Univision. He served as its GM through 1997. Guernica spearheaded the operational start-up of Los Cerezos Broadcasting Co. in 1986 which brought Spanish television to the Washington, DC market with Univision WMDO-TV and also owned and operated as President for WMDO/Radio Mundo 1540, Washington’s oldest Spanish radio station until 1994. Guernica served as Executive VP of the Nat’l Association of Spanish Broadcasters, representing radio and television stations in the US and Puerto Rico. He also served as Media Specialist for the National Council of La Raza. He was editor of US Hispanics – a market profile, the first national marketing study of the US Hispanic population (1980). He was Associate Producer for the acclaimed documentary “Cuba – A Personal Journey”, and has produced and collaborated on various television productions. The Ibero-American Chamber of Commerce honored Guernica with its Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Born in Cuba, Guernica came to the US in 1961. After receiving his BA from Johns Hopkins University, Guernica earned a Master of Arts degree in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Maryland.

Javier Mitchell is currently the President of the Miami chapter of NALIP and Forking Paths Productions.
In addition, he has coordinated Public lectures at Dot Fifty One Art Gallery.
Mr. Mitchell served as CEO for SATPRESS, Communication & Press Company for the Cable TV market, VP of Samsung’s Marketing & Business department, Press Correspondent & Account Executive in USA for Magazine Satellite, a Latin American magazine for the Cable TV & Satellites Market.

CARLOS VELEZ is native of San Juan Puero Rico and has been in the states for the last 20 years. His passion for film goes back to his teenager days when he would try to take part in any local production he would find out about in the city of Miami. As a young man he participated as an extra in several indy films and asked the directors many questions about how they were bringing to film together in the editing room.
As a member of the Miami Film Society for a number of years he decided to pursue a carreer in film. When he started UCF he got an opportunity to attend school in Spain where he attended a film seminar with Pedro Almodovar. He has been a film critic locally for La Prensa Newspaper and on his spare time collaborates with local writers and directors on their film projects.

MARITZA GUIMET is an accomplished director, writer, producer with over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry. Originally from Peru. She moved to Miami and worked at the Miami Beach Film and Print Office as an Assistant Coordinator working with high profile projects such as "The Birdcage," "Pronto," and "Too Much".
Guimet has been key in the development of many productions in South Florida, and has worked on many feature films, television programs, music videos, Telenovelas and commercials. Clients include PBS, BET, Island Records, Caiman Records, Globo TV, Telemundo, Venevision, Fonovideo, and Televisa among others. Guimet received her Bachelor's degree in Film and Digital Production from the International Fine Arts College in Miami, FL. In 2008, she also executive produced two films, Duelos de Pasarelas y De Rodillas, currently in distribution with Netflix, Walmart, Amazon's among others.

ANI RODRIGUEZ received a Bachelor of Arts from Florida State University with a major in Communication: Media Production and minors in English and Humanities. While in Tallahassee, she served as a feature editor & videographer for the 'Seminole Sports Magazine' & 'Seminole Uprising' shows airing on Sun Sports Network.
 Born and raised in Orlando, Ani was excited to move home and serve as a part of the production team at WOFL-FOX35 with responsibilities ranging from floor director and camera to Chyron operation. Most recently, she helped launch WMFE's award-winning The Arts Connection television program and served as Broadcast Fundraising Producer for the TV and radio stations of WMFE. She now currently attends Barry University's Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law.

ANTHONY LAGOS is focused on understanding people’s goals and helping them identify the roadmap to achieving them. He is the Assistant Director of the Corporate MBA Program at the Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business. In his role he works with various organizations, individuals and corporations to open the door to a quality graduate business school experience.

He is proud of the diverse and inclusive culture of Crummer Graduate School and Rollins College. He knows that as the premier educational institution in the South East and number one in Central Florida, it provides access to various perspectives and presents many examples of success stories. He is passionate about life-long learning and development. It’s that passion and uncovering those success stories that make him a fan of documentary film making. He understands that everyone has a story to tell and that the story plays out differently for each person. As a part of the judging team for the documentary film category, he feels honored to take a peak into the many stories of others.

He is passionate about serving the community and especially in positively impacting the Hispanic-American community. He is a graduate of the University of Central Florida obtaining a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology and Legal Studies. Later he pursued a Bachelors of Arts in Interactive Media. He feels that the Hispanic Community has a vast array of stories that need to be told. Additionally, he believes it’s those stories that help others gain insight into the diverse perspectives of the Hispanic experience.

ANGELA GOMEZ DE LAGOS is passionate about the diversity around us. She considers it her job to learn as much as she can about groups of people. She is constantly eager to learn more about the human experience and an avid fan of documentary film production. Ms. Gomez de Lagos is a graduate of the University of Central Florida and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Legal Studies.

She obtained her Masters of Arts degree in Industrial Organization Psychology from Concordia University. She has held various Human Resource leadership roles with Bass Hotels and Resorts; as Human Resource Director, Employee Services Director and Regional Human Resource Training Director for various Crowne Plazas and Intercontinental properties within the Bass Hotels and Resorts brand.

Ms. Gomez de Lagos happily joined the Universal Orlando Resort family, as the Manager of Management Training and Executive Leadership Development in 2004. She has delivered leadership training programs for its parent companies NBC Universal, Telemundo and General Electric. In 2006 she moved into a new Diversity leadership role within the Universal Parks and Resorts Global Division; as Senior Manager of Diversity and Inclusion. The goal of her role is to build domestic Diversity initiatives, which will have global application to the entire Universal Parks and Resorts brand. She relishes the opportunity to share the world-class entertainment and one of kind cutting-edge attractions that Universal Parks and Resorts offer its guests and team members across the globe. She has received the award of “Excellence in Leadership” and recently the entire Diversity and Inclusion Team was awarded the “Excellence in Human Resources Award for Positive Work Environment” within the entire parent company NBC Universal. In late 2008 the entire team was honored with a “Diversity Beacon Award”.
